  • Next, you have to plug back in your modem into an electric outlet. And if you have removed the battery, you can insert it back.
  • Now, get an ethernet cable and insert one of its ends into the router’s ethernet port. And insert the other end into the ethernet port of the modem.
  • Take the power adapter cable of your router and connect it to the router and plug it into another power outlet. If this is properly done, you will see the power LED turn on and become solid green when it stabilizes.

How to connect your Orbi satellite with the Orbi main router

The setup has been made easy with the Orbi Setup wizard. Therefore you can proceed with the remaining part of the setup. You have to make sure that the Orbi satellite is within a very close range with the main router. That way, the connection and setup is made easy.

  • Moving forward, plug in your Orbi satellite into an electric socket. Once you do this, you will see a pulsing white light on the satellite.
  • Next, the satellite will automatically search for the Wifi signal of the main Orbi router and then goes ahead to sync with it. Note that if the satellite displays a color blue light from its LED, it means that the synchronization was successful and the connection is good. However, if the light is Amber color it means that the connection between the satellite and the main orbi router is fair. So try to move the satellite closer to the router.

How to ensure the satellite and Orbi router connection

  • Note that if you find a magenta color from the LED on your satellite, first you should disconnect your Orbi satellite from the power outlet. Secondly, hold on for about 2 minutes and plug it somewhere closer to the router.
  • Furthermore, if any of these processes does not work, you should try doing the following.
  • Locate the “Sync” button at the back of the router and press it.
  • Now, in two minutes, you have to also press the “Sync” button on the satellite.
  • And wait for 2 minutes. The LED will display a blue or amber color.
